Moscone Park has been around since the 1920's and is definitely a beloved location for many. It's been said that well-known actresses and actors have taken their children there because of the lack of gossip-hungry media reporters, i.e. paparazzi.
When you go to the park, make sure that if you really want to get in that game of tennis that you get there early (parking is tough after business hours and on the weekend), and that you don't forget your tennis racket or balls at your San Francisco apartment. The courts are well-kept, so it can be busy and you may have to wait.
